Thank You, Texas Elks Children Services

When Isaac was fitted for his hearing aids at 7 months old back in 2004 we were told that they would last between 5 and 7 yrs. Just depending on wear and tear. Well he has had a few things happen here and there and they have required repairs. Just in October his Right hearing aid decided it didn't want to work anymore. So I sent him to school and the audiologist called up the manufacture and told me how much the repair would cost, but also told me that it was recommended that they be replaced because of their condition. My first response was despair because these little devices are not cheap. Well I was informed again by the audiologist at the school about a foundation that gives grants to families with children with hearing loss. I applied thinking that it was a long shot..... But I'm sure you have figured out by now that he has been APPROVED!!!!!! They are going to pay for the entire cost of the replacement. WHEW! that is a load off. We would have had to take out a loan if this didn't work out. I am just so grateful that there are organizations such as this to help out families such as ours, and that we are blessed enough to benefit. Especially that Isaac will get the help that he needs to hear and to continue to learn and grow and try to live as much of a normal life as possible. My heart is really full, and I am really thankful.

How wonderful! What a perfect blessing right before Christmas!

Do you guys miss having a white Christmas? Or are the shorts a blast? :)

Either way, I hope it's grand.
