Mitchell was very excited to start school this year. He was so excited to see his name tag on the table and find his seat. He sat down and started coloring and told us goodbye. He was ready to go.
This is how we left him. I don't think he even realized, or cared that we left. I tried to keep the tears in all morning, but walking out of the classroom I couldn't hold them in anymore. My baby is in school all day. I am going to miss hanging out with my buddy. It's been just the two of us for half the day since he was born, and I have really enjoyed that time with him.
Gracie does safety patrol and on the first day she got to open the door for her brothers in the carpool line, which was perfect so I could get a picture of all of them after their first day. All smiles is always a good thing.
Mitchell ready for his first day of school.
Isaac and Gracie and Mitchell are at the same school for the first time. Isaac was very excited to go to " Gracie's School" But he still has an itinerant teacher from his old school from the deaf ed department. She came to see him the first day and he was excited to see her, and I think it helped calm his nerves.
Here he is sitting in his classroom.
Isaac ready to go to school
Gracie at her desk in the 5th grade class. She is constantly reminding me that this is her last year of elementary. I really don't like to think about that.
Gracie ready to go.
I have a smile, but was not happy to have the kids go off to school. I am adjusting to having the days to myself. It gets long and quiet, but I have enjoyed some parts of it too.
Dad stayed home to help us get everyone off to school and to their classrooms.
My kids were so thrilled to see their friends before school started. They are all happy to be going to the same school together.

I loved seeing and reading about your family!!! I miss you all!!! For the longest time I haven't had my "favorite blogs" because they were on my pc and not on my laptop...but with a little memory and work I have found some again including your family...
I'm so happy your children look like they are off to a good start with the school year. Hoping it has continued for them. Hoping Elizabeth you are filling your time with taking care of "you" and enjoying this time in your life. Hugs...
